Can I purchase controlled substances on Pharmacy Marketplace?

Read this article to learn more about how to apply for controlled substances from our distribution partners.

‼️ Please Note: Most wholesalers require you to maintain a ratio of 80% unscheduled drugs/20% scheduled drugs. Ensure all controlled substance orders include unscheduled drugs as well. 

 ‼️ Many wholesalers include monitored drugs (e.g., Bromfed DM, Promethazine DM, Fioricet, etc.) in these calculations. 
 
✅ Bloodworth: To apply to purchase controlled substances from Bloodworth, you must provide the following:
  • Pharmacy photos (1. pharmacy area 2. store sign 3. retail area)
  • There is an additional 90-day waiting period to apply for C2s

✅ BluPax: Contact sales@pharmacymarketplace.com to apply to purchase C3 - 5s from BluPax. BluPax only ships controlled substances Monday through Thursday. 

✅ Capital Drug: To apply to purchase C3 - 5s from Capital Drug, you must purchase from Capital Drug at least once a month for 3 consecutive months and complete their controlled substance application (request a copy of the application by emailing sales@pharmacymarketplace.com).  Please note that all applications must be fully completed at the time of submission in order to be reviewed. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

✅ Prescription Supply: A store visit is required to apply to purchase controlled substances from Prescription Supply. Please contact sales@pharmacymarketplace.com for more information. 
✅ TopRx: To apply to purchase C3 - 5s from TopRx, you must provide the following: 
1. Complete TopRx's controlled substance application (request a copy of the application by emailing sales@pharmacymarketplace.com or see below for a link to the application.)
  • If you would like to apply for C2s in addition to C3 - 5s, check the first 4 boxes as pictured below: 

2. Provide a 90-day Summary Usage Report for both Controls and Non-Controls (Excel-format Preferred) containing the following:
  • Pharmacy Name and Address
  • Date Range
  • Drug Name/Strength
  • NDC
  • Number of Prescriptions
  • Quantity Dispensed
Email completed TopRx controlled substance applications and 90-day usage reports to sales@pharmacymarketplace.com.

✅ Quest: Contact sales@pharmacymarketplace.com to apply to purchase C3 - 5s from Quest. 
 
❌ Auburn: Customers can apply to purchase C3 - 5s directly from Auburn by emailing PMPSales@auburnpharm.com
❌ Independent Pharmacy Cooperative (IPC): IPC does not currently have a DEA license.
